Why buyers choose jute

The material regulation is pushing you toward

Single-use plastic restrictions across the EU, the UK and the Gulf have turned reusable natural-fibre bags from a nice-to-have into a procurement requirement.

Biodegradable by nature

Untreated jute returns to soil within months — no microplastics, no landfill legacy.

Strong and low-cost

Higher tensile strength than cotton at a fraction of the fibre cost per bag.

A low-input crop

Jute grows in four to six months on rain-fed land with minimal pesticide demand.

Premium hand-feel

A natural texture that reads as considered and expensive on a retail shelf.

Specify with confidence Send us the retail price point you need to hit and we will tell you which fabric weight, handle and print method gets you there — before you commit to a sample.

Custom manufacturing

Bring us a sketch. We return a sample.

We operate as your design and sourcing office in Dhaka: we translate your brief into a tech pack, place it with the right workshop, control quality, and ship it under your label.

  • Your dimensions, fabric weight (7–14 oz) and handle specification
  • Screen, block, flexo, heat-transfer and embroidered branding
  • Cotton, canvas, laminate or PP inner linings
  • Woven and printed labels, hang tags, polybag and carton marking
  • Private-label and white-label programmes

How we work

Six steps from brief to bill of lading

01

Brief & quotation

Send a sketch, a sample photo or a reference SKU. You receive an itemised FOB quotation within 48 hours.

02

Tech pack & costing

We fix dimensions, fabric weight, handle, lining, print method and packing, then confirm price bands by quantity.

03

Sampling

Pre-production sample in 7–10 days, couriered for approval. Revisions continue until you sign off.

04

Vendor allocation

Your order goes to the workshop best matched to your construction, volume and deadline — and we name it.

05

In-line & final QC

Two in-line checks plus a final AQL 2.5 inspection with a photographic report before packing.

06

Export & documentation

Booking, stuffing and the full document set — invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin.

Quality & compliance

Documentation your compliance team will accept

We work to the paperwork standard European and North American importers require — and we state plainly what we can and cannot certify.

Product testing

Third-party lab reports from SGS, Intertek or Bureau Veritas on request — tensile strength, colour fastness, azo dyes, heavy metals.

Chemical compliance

REACH/SVHC declarations, California Prop 65 statements, and phthalate-free lamination options.

Social audit

We prioritise SEDEX/SMETA or BSCI audited units and share the audit reference before you place the order.

Inspection reports

Every shipment travels with a photographic QC report and a measurement sheet against the approved sample.

A straight answer Certificates belong to the manufacturing unit, not to us. We name the unit, share its valid certificates, and welcome your own or a third party's inspection at any stage of production.

Our commitments

Three promises we put in writing

A quotation within 48 hours

Or we tell you why it will take longer, and exactly when to expect it.

Sampling cost credited back

Your sample and courier charges are credited in full against the first production order.

A named manufacturing unit

You always know which workshop is building your order, and you are welcome to inspect it.

Sustainability

Honest claims, verifiable at the fibre

Jute is genuinely one of the lowest-impact bag materials available. We keep our claims to what we can defend in front of your compliance team.

  • Unlaminated constructions for fully compostable bags
  • Recycled cotton lining available on request
  • Plastic-free packing alternatives — paper bands or jute sleeves
  • Carton and pallet optimisation to cut shipped volume

Production transparency

Watch your order being made, item by item

Every item we put into production is tracked in software we designed and built ourselves. When you place an order we add you to that portal — so instead of emailing us for an update and waiting a day for the answer, you open a page and see exactly where your goods are.

  • Live stage-by-stage progress on every style in your order
  • Quantities completed against quantities ordered, updated as they are made
  • Inspection photographs and measurement sheets the day they are taken
  • Your approved sample, tech pack and specification held in one place
  • Shipping dates and documents as they are issued
How you get access Your login is created with the order confirmation and stays open until the shipment is closed. Nothing to install, no licence to pay for — it is part of how we work rather than an extra.

Common questions

Before you send your first enquiry

Not yet — and we say so up front. Jutery is a design and export house: we develop the product, qualify the workshop, control quality and handle export. Our own production unit is planned once order volumes justify it, and nothing about your order changes when that happens.
300 pieces per style and colour for catalogue items, and 500 pieces for fully custom constructions. Consolidating several styles into one shipment is welcome and often improves your freight cost per unit.
USD 25–60 per sample depending on complexity, plus courier. The full amount is credited against your first production order.
EXW Dhaka and FOB Chittagong as standard; CIF, CFR and DDP on request for most destinations. Payment is 30% advance with 70% against documents, or an irrevocable letter of credit at sight through a first-class bank. Repeat clients can move to 60-day terms.
21–35 days for catalogue styles after sample approval and advance receipt, and 30–45 days for custom constructions or orders above 10,000 pieces. Sea freight to Northern Europe typically adds 28–34 days, to the US East Coast 32–40 days.
Yes. A sample box with eight representative styles is available at cost plus courier, and the full amount is refunded on your first order. Request it from the contact page.
